One of the Best Days so far.

Today – 17th Feb – there was some pretty good stuff going on. I’m gonna tell you, but maybe not all at once because it’s pretty late by now and I have to get up early and I’m going to be murdered tomorrow and then I’ll drown. (it’s because of our Drama course and because I’m going surfing tomorrow (I’ve probably mentioned that a few times already).
So today we had Drama too and me and Jenny who are a team right now were so scared because we thought we would have to perform our violent murder play today. But actually our teacher hasn’t been there so we have 24 more hours until the next lesson tomorrow. And we really can’t do it. Mostly because we aren’t comfortable loosing all our blockings and just scream and everything in front of great but still not that known guys. And because we aren’t that comfortable improvising in English. Still. Yet. Whatever.
After school I’ve had the audition for the Meridian Girls’ Choir. And I MADE IT!! YAAAY!! :D:D It was really choice! I was like, standing in front of that really nice teacher, frightened to death, but I still somehow knew that I would do it, and I started blushing because I was so nervous and I told her that too but then I just started to sing the Irish Blessing… and I actually haven’t finished it! Because just before the end she, well, she didn’t interrupt me really because I wasn’t singing that moment, but whatever, she just said like, “I love your voice. I really love your timbre.” And then she wanted me to sing another song, and I actually couldn’t think of ANY! And then she said I could sing my national anthem too, and I couldn’t think of the melody of that one either but then I remembered and sang that, mostly on “lalala” because I was so kinda nervous and I couldn’t think of the lyrics… Oh Gosh! I’m not a good representive of my country! And I really don’t care! ๐Ÿ˜€ So I sang the anthem and then she let me sing a scale and then she said “Put your chin down a bit and sing it again on “lalala” and I sang again and it really sounded like a real choir girl’s voice. And then she was like, “How long are you staying again?” “Three months, so until April.” “Oh, well, I’d really love you to stay for one year, actually.” :):):)
Sorry for the enthusiasm, I’m usually not like this. But I like being like this. ๐Ÿ™‚
So tomorrow I’m going to a free concert – during school! – just for those who are interested in singing etc. and I’ll go to the Camp too (if it’s not during one of my trips) which is from 5th to 7th of March, for all those pupils who participate in any musical group at school. ๐Ÿ™‚ And after (and before) the audition I’ve been talking to two Germans and… drums rolling… a Kiwi girl! And she was such a nice girl, we were really talking, I mean, usually it’s like “what are you doing on the weekend?” “dunno. you?” “I’m meeting my girlfriend and go to the beach.” “Ah.” and that’s all. Yaay! I’m working on it! ๐Ÿ™‚
Afterwards I went to the Plaza (the mall in Whangaparaoa) and had some ice cream until three of my friends arrived (Germans, sorry) (I’ve actually seen the Kiwi girl again there!) and then we went to the cinema to see Percy Jackson which is a nice movie but too much Harry Potter and LotR so it was nice and well-made but nothing, like, special or moving or mind boggling or something. And then two of my friends hurried to catch a bus but the other friend and I were like, well, what now? She didn’t really want to go home yet so we actually decided to do something mindless and spontaneous and we watched another movie, Valentine’s Day, which is actually quite the same as Percy Jackson – really nice but nothing more – but we enjoyed it (although we both thought that sitting next to the best looking guy at College would’ve been nicer ;)). Then she discovered that she actually missed the last bus going home! But she wrote a text and her host mother got on the way to pick her up at once, so that’s fine. It’s been a lovely day. Really lovely.
So now it’s midnight and tomorrow I’ll fall asleep during the concert or the play or on the surfboard, but nevermind. It’s worth it ๐Ÿ˜‰
Oh, and by the way, I’m really having some fun with my hostmom! I won’t say anything else… MUAHAHA! ๐Ÿ˜€
